*regaining composure* feh, anyway. On the way down to the airport we almost crashed. David was driving and after that he was just a puddle of anxiety. ^^; I don't think he'll be driving again soon. We went down to Chinatown with my parents for lunch, and I managed to find some nice CDs at the Hi-Fi shop to buy =3 I'm sitting here listening to one of them now. I have the Garnet Crow Singles Collection and Shiina Ringo Complete Singles II. I love my GC CD so much ;_; I want to make a Garnet Crow layout for this blog now ^^; Ma brought me back a really nice skirt from Melbourne ^___^

Hmmm I'm waiting for a call back about accomodation in Mt Gambier right now. One of my aunty's kids is working at a hospital there and she said student accomodation at the hospital hostel is only $5 a night '0' Don't ask me how that's possible, but that's what she said ^^; I don't really know anything about these things anyway =X

*yawning* yep, I'm definately sick. -_-; I had trouble sleeping last night because of my throat. We had a wonderful downpour during the night. Lots of thunder and lightning. I loved it ^_^;

Anyway, the only reason I'm up now is because Dad called from Melbourne and woke me up. I'd be snug in bed otherise =_=; David and I are going to pick up Mum and Dad from the airport at 12, and they've called many times to retell us what time to come =_=; First we had to leave home at 11:30, then they wanted us to leave home at 11:40, now they want us to leave at 11:45, like it really makes a difference. And then just 2 minutes ago they called AGAIN, to remind us to come late. How many times do they need ot call in the morning? ._. *sigh*

^^; I just watched the end of the movie for about.... the 5th time since I got it O_o; I don't know why, I just like watching everything past where Shiori crashes.

I found my Kenshin pencilboard today, which is wonderful because I've been looking for it for ages. ^_^; For the last month or so I've been using my Yami no Matsuei board instead because I lost Kenshin ;_; That board is my favourite. Yami comes in 3rd and my Houshin board comes in second along with the Saiyuki one. And hai, I actually use my pencilboards ^^: Unlike a lot of collectors I don't buy them to keep in their little plastic bags and carefully hide away. I don't see the point of buying them if you aren't going to use them =

Exams will be upon me in 3 weeks, so in the ritual preparation I've rearranged my room to suit my needs. I.e. I've shifted my Hi-fi onto my desk so I don't have to get up to change CDs and I've pulled my desk next to the built in desk in my wall so I can put my textbooks within arms reach (again because I don't want to get up ^^; What a lazy person I am). I'm all prepared to study! but *cough cough* I think I'm getting ill.

Beh, I got up at 7:30 this morning to send my parents to the airport only to be told that they'd decided to take a cab because of the weather. It's mucky outside and fairly foggy. At that time it was also raining, but that doesn't mean I can't drive >_<; My parents have always seemed to hold the opinion that unless the sky is blue and there isn't a gust of wind in the atmosphere I can't drive. It's very odd. *sigh*

Anyway =3, they're flying to Melbourne so I gave them a short list of manga to find for me; Inuyasha volumes 19 and 20 being among them. I also tacked Seimaden volume 5 onwards and Zeus volume 2 onwards onto the list, but I very much doubt they'll find them ;_; But but, if they don't, they're going to Sydney next weekend, so they can look there too XD;;

I managed to run down to the city today before comming home ^_^ The comic shop had a nice artbook called "Essence" which I happily bought. The artwork is by Yoshitoshi ABe, who also did some work for Serial Experiments Lain *huggles her books* I especially love the Charcoal Feather Federation sketches. Most of the book is black and white sketches, and 10 or so color pictures. *huggle huggle* I want to make a Charcoal Feather Federation layout ;_;

I was also very surprised when I walked into Angus & Robertson (book store) to discover that they now stock some manga. They had the first Oh My Goddess and Video Girl Ai graphic novels on their shelves. VGAi is being sold at a much higher price than in the comic shop, but OMG is at a reasonable price. I might go back and buy it when I scrape some money together.

In further news, my brother is telling me not to move to the country. He wants me to stay here so that he has someone to bother ^^; Hmmm, I really want to go to a rural area to work because they take care of multiple areas. I still dont' really know what I want to do when I enter the work force, so I'd like to get a taste of everything. *looks around furtively* My Mum is already phoning people to ask about accomodation in Mount Gambier.

Argh, I just installed AIM on the compy in the Reid Building only to find that we're behind a firewall and I can't use it T_T; Bleh

We had talk about an hour ago to do with clinical placement for next semester (effectively I go work in a lab for 26 weeks). I'm thinking of going to a rural laboratory because they have multiple areas. If I go to say Gribbles I'd end up only studying one area eg Haematology or Microbiology. But I want to get a shot at everything. =/ But going rural means I have to find accomodation and try to get the Uni to fund me... Plus I don't really want to be all alone. The lab that looks most interesting to me right now is in Mildura (faaaar away. the "Giant orange town") or as second choice the veteranary lab in Frewville (not so far away, just means getting up early, I could stay home). mmm I don't know, it's scary to leave home, it's scary to leave the city to be alone, it's scary to leave my friends, It's scary to leave all the shops I so dearly love ^^; My Mum wants me to go to Gribbles purely because it's close to home. But I'm not sure that I see an area that I want to go into listed as an option. Right now I don't even have a clue what I want to do in particular. But as Professor Woods has already told us all: Now is the time to become an adult. So I shouldn't be scared to try to make it on my own for a little while right? I should take this opportunity to learn and mature in a lab where I can try many options.....>_< But I'm so scared!
